If you ever wanted to get TV on your iPhone, then fear not! There has been confirmed news that ‎Apple wants you get TV too; they are, it is alleged, ready to release an app that will let you watch ‎iPhone TV using a local Wi-Fi connection. The reason you’ll need a Wi-Fi connection is simply ‎that the EDGE network can’t supply enough bandwidth to make playback any better than painfully ‎choppy.‎
One company that is ahead in this field already is Sling. Sling have the capability to deliver great ‎quality television over phones. This capability does not yet stretch to iPhone TV though allegedly ‎this is not through any lack in their competency or capability, but rather the reluctance of Apple to ‎let them use the proprietary iPhone SDK. Naturally Sling is keen to cash in on this lucrative ‎market and their key personnel are reported to have approached Apple with an offer of some kind ‎of alliance. Watch this space, and watch out for iPhone TV coming soon! ‎
If you have an iPhone that you have unlocked then it may be possible to download the Sling ‎software and watch TV from the sling box; making iPhone TV workable using this method – the ‎reverse process – must only be a few steps away!‎

If you look at the landscape in the what is increasingly known as the iphone era the only competition for iPhone is the Samsung Instinct or SPH-M800 and the GSM version the SGH-F490 are the only ones that come close to iPhone. Actually they do provide better feature then the iPhone like the visual voice mail and voice dial , which increasingly suggests that its more of a design with functioning as a phone then an internet browse devise. How ever they have not opened this Pandora’s box that Apple has unleashed the Appstore to go with iPhone. With the appstore and the potential for all the free minded developers that come up with cool iPhoneapps , it makes the iPhone a much more attractive devise then the Samsung Instinct. For this reason alone it makes the iPhone a much more attractive option then to the Samsung Instinct. Unless these other devices that aspire to be competitors for iPhone come up with a concept of appstore the iPhone has nothing to worry. Because appstore has harnessed the power of the community to come up with applications that the public wants and it has given the general population the means to develop what they want with this concept of Web 2.0 . Well, Google first unleashed the potential of Web 2.0 with promoting Blog and that is the way of the World. The only solution to come close to this EDGE that apple has is Android. When google unleashed Android this year, it seemed like they wanted to discover the holy grail of an Operating System for iPhone like products. Android is a common platform for any mobile phone developer to launch his/her ideas on. With Apple SDK kit and the popular device like iPhone to test seems like the Google is playing the catchup game with Apple, like what Google did with Microsoft on its search business, revenge is a dish best served in 0′s and 1′s .

There is a distinct lack of iPhone apps around at the moment. Are Apple shocked? Absolutely not – there are several theories about why they might have actually instigated this shortage.
Certainly though if you’re looking to by an iPhone apps online then you’ll be sorely disappointed. Some brick and mortar shops might just be able to provide you with one, but it’s unlikely that stocks will be replenished once they gone.
So why would Apple allow this to happen to the iPhone games? Simple: they’ve got a new version coming out and a paucity of stock is a great way to cause enough media coverage to get everyone hankering after one. Supply and demand and all that.
Also relevant are the hybrid iPod-cell phone-Internet surfing gadgets that Apple is trying to sell at the moment. While these aren’t as popular as iPhones games Apple is trying to sell 10 million copies; if it takes some jiggery-pokery from their marketing division then so be it.
