iPhone GPS: good or bad?
When new iPhone 3G was released, many Apple fans and iPhone users were really anticipating for one new iPhone accessory: GPS. This is the feature that was supposed to make the gadget even better. Drivers who love using this global position ing system on their Windows based phones were really waiting for new iPhone 3G because it finally had GPS accessory.
However, very soon it turned out that iPhone GPS is one of those Apple iPhone accessories that were simply underdeveloped or some necessary features of which were simply overlooked for some reason. iPhone GPS lack one important detail: it does not have voice navigation. So, many iPhone users were very disappointed. The thing is how are you supposed to drive safely if you constantly need to check out the screen for directions? This is a huge mistake, they think. And besides, Apple tried very hard to make the jailbreaking and installing of some third party GPS software on iPhone 3G impossible. What are the reasons for that? It is a pretty interesting question.
Nevertheless, many iPhone users still like this iPhone 3G accessory. Some people simply find it enough to see the route and remember the main details. There is not need for some loud speaking voice to irritate you and control all your turns. They say that real-time turn-by-turn directions are not really needed and iPhone 3G is already nifty enough, so they can forgive the developers. Google Maps are already a great app that can satisfy the needs of many drivers: they pin point the location and show you the way. Besides, Apple boasts that A-GPS is installed in iPhone 3G that works even faster than usual GPS.
So, let us know in the comments what you think of iPhone GPS: is it worthy or not?

There are simply loads of considerations to borne in mind when you go about trying to get iPhone music downloads. Whilst the iPhone is obviously more than just a very sexy looking iPod, it does have the capability to play songs, and many people will use this feature rather than carry around two different gadgets.
One thing that requires careful consideration is whether you get your iPhone music for free or you pay for it. There is plenty of opportunity to do both, but each has its pros and cons.
For a start you may consider downloading free iPhone music – illegally downloading free iPhone music – is morally wrong. That is your choice. Something else to bear in mind is that some free iPhone music can be riddled with viruses or spyware. That’s something you really don’t want on your iPhone!
On the other hand paying for iPhone music downloads can start to get expensive. Another option may be to find a service where you pay a set fee (sometimes per month, sometimes for lifetime membership) that allows you unlimited downloads of the service’s catalogue. These are often the best deal if you’re planning on downloading more than a few tracks per month.

Ok, after a much awaited brruhhaaahaaa the iPhone apt for 3G is finally here to change the telephone world as we know….yeah right. Until Apple breaks all ties with AT&T they cannot deliver the value they say they seek to deliver. AT&T the mother of manipulation has once again proved that its a turncoat company only out their to rob the people. They figured lets entice the average fool with a $200 or $300 for this new 3G iphone which is not much different from its predecessor except you happen to fall in the network that supports 3G, mostly cities the other new features they say is new is also available for the previous generation iPhone. The reason its all software upgrade and not hardware, the only real upgrade is the GPS even though not as precise as exclusive GPS device in giving you the exact location and turn by turn instruction , definitely a value to the consumers. One other major drawback is the blue tooth connectivity issues that is not really bluetooth. We need a better carrier then AT&T , this monopoly of a phone company needs to recognize that bottom line is not the only criteria in making decisions. That is why Apple sold a million iPhone this previous week.
iPhone Accessories : Cool!!!
As a standalone product the iPhone is a wonderful piece of kit. Not only is the iPhone the a feat of technology and engineering, but it is also a wonder in aggressive marketing. Apple really know how to sell their products to people who thought they didn’t need them.
Something that makes the iPhone even better, though, is a number of iPhone accessories that both Apple and a number of external independent companies have deigned to provide. The iPhone accessories all add something to the gadget that makes it just that little bit more than a glorified phone/iPod.
One of the best selling iPhone accessories that really add the most to my iPhone are the iPhone travel pillow — integrating a comfy pillow and headphones for those long periods traveling. Great if you like to fall asleep while blocking out the sounds of the journey with your favorite tunes.
Another great addition is the iPhone headset. The iPhone headset is manufactured by Bose — a company that really needs no introduction — and consequently they are absolutely phenomenal quality. If you’re keen on listening to music on your iPhone then this is one of the best iPhone accessories that money can buy.

There has been some interesting news about the App store: a recent survey of 20 developers working with the iPhone, results showed that around 71% of planned Apps would be completely free. This is great news for the App store as average prices were predicted to be around an average of 10 dollars. In fact the average cost of those apps developed by the 20 surveyed developers was only $2.29. The survey was completed by Gene Munster, an analyst at Piper Jaffray.
Munster also looked at the context in which the developers were working and discovered that around half of the apps to appear in the app store were being developed for the iPhone and half for the Mac.
Apple will be mightily disappointed by all this news; it is desperate to encourage developers to charge for their apps. Why? Because every app sold through the app store nets Apple 30% of the profits. Under the current business model Apple are not charging developers or users anything for hosting or download.
Of course Apple want to see the developers charge! It has been rightly pointed out that 30% of nothing doesn’t pay for many Apple executive wages.
