Samsung Instinct Vs 3G iPhone

If you look at the landscape in the what is increasingly known as the iphone era the only competition for iPhone is the Samsung Instinct or SPH-M800 and the GSM version the SGH-F490 are the only ones that come close to iPhone. Actually they do provide better feature then the iPhone like the visual voice mail and voice dial , which increasingly suggests that its more of a design with functioning as a phone then an internet browse devise. How ever they have not opened this Pandora’s box that Apple has unleashed the Appstore to go with iPhone. With the appstore and the potential for all the free minded developers that come up with cool iPhoneapps , it makes the iPhone a much more attractive devise then the Samsung Instinct. For this reason alone it makes the iPhone a much more attractive option then to the Samsung Instinct. Unless these other devices that aspire to be competitors for iPhone come up with a concept of appstore the iPhone has nothing to worry. Because appstore has harnessed the power of the community to come up with applications that the public wants and it has given the general population the means to develop what they want with this concept of Web 2.0 . Well, Google first unleashed the potential of Web 2.0 with promoting Blog and that is the way of the World. The only solution to come close to this EDGE that apple has is Android. When google unleashed Android this year, it seemed like they wanted to discover the holy grail of an Operating System for iPhone like products. Android is a common platform for any mobile phone developer to launch his/her ideas on. With Apple SDK kit and the popular device like iPhone to test seems like the Google is playing the catchup game with Apple, like what Google did with Microsoft on its search business, revenge is a dish best served in 0′s and 1′s .
3G iPhone, sometime in June ’08

The 16gig version was just out a couple of weeks ago, the focus is now on the 3G version. Apple does not want to piss off the proud iPhone owners quite yet, so the thought process is that the 3G will be in June 08. Europe does not have the capabilities that Japan can offer as far as infrastructure and cell tower technology goes. But the market is United States, At &t has pledged to step up its installations and upgrade to support Apple. Now the pricing is another speculation, anywhere from $499-$599 its anyones guess at this point. With 3G the possibilities are end less.
The camera is up for a sizing could go up to 5 Mega pixel, since the compete tiers have announced that is where they are going, iPhone will match or beat that for sure. Especially with 3G the camera is going to be the indispensable component and we will get into resolution fight after that, who knows a HD version could be in the pipe line. In any case , their are some exciting times ahead in smartphone world.
