There are many versions of Ares to choose from
If you’re looking for a competent piece of software that really makes filesharing as easy as a piece of particularly easy pie, then you’re looking Ares. Ares allows its users to download torrents of popular (and not so popular) music from the Internet directly to their computers. Once there Ares allows other users to download from your computer. It’s all done anonymously and your computer is safe from unwanted intrusions.
Files are grouped into convenient packages called ‘torrents’ each torrent contains details of the files that are contained therein. Once you tell Ares to download the files in a torrent it will begin to scour the network for those files (or parts of files) that make up the torrent. Once it finds them, it downloads the parts to your computer, piecing them back together once it’s done.
The bad reputation that filesharing has suffered in the past few months is beginning to abate somewhat as artists, publishers and producers alike all recognize that music sharing is to be embraced, not resisted. It is those that embrace the revolution quicker that will be the first to benefit from it. Sony BMG’s partnership with free software distributor We7.com are a perfect example of a forward looking company that is not afraid of what the future holds.

If you look at the landscape in the what is increasingly known as the iphone era the only competition for iPhone is the Samsung Instinct or SPH-M800 and the GSM version the SGH-F490 are the only ones that come close to iPhone. Actually they do provide better feature then the iPhone like the visual voice mail and voice dial , which increasingly suggests that its more of a design with functioning as a phone then an internet browse devise. How ever they have not opened this Pandora’s box that Apple has unleashed the Appstore to go with iPhone. With the appstore and the potential for all the free minded developers that come up with cool iPhoneapps , it makes the iPhone a much more attractive devise then the Samsung Instinct. For this reason alone it makes the iPhone a much more attractive option then to the Samsung Instinct. Unless these other devices that aspire to be competitors for iPhone come up with a concept of appstore the iPhone has nothing to worry. Because appstore has harnessed the power of the community to come up with applications that the public wants and it has given the general population the means to develop what they want with this concept of Web 2.0 . Well, Google first unleashed the potential of Web 2.0 with promoting Blog and that is the way of the World. The only solution to come close to this EDGE that apple has is Android. When google unleashed Android this year, it seemed like they wanted to discover the holy grail of an Operating System for iPhone like products. Android is a common platform for any mobile phone developer to launch his/her ideas on. With Apple SDK kit and the popular device like iPhone to test seems like the Google is playing the catchup game with Apple, like what Google did with Microsoft on its search business, revenge is a dish best served in 0′s and 1′s .
Bringing the like Minded iPhone Community togeather : iPling
