Apple and its free ad best iPhone music downloads. Is there any other symbol of today’s society that more accurate encapsulates all that is fashionable and in vogue? Probably not. And now the iPhone free music downloads is heading to the continent of fashion, Europe.
It’s about time too. Europe has been left behind the US yet again. But the horizon is not all dark: the weak dollar could lead to significant cost savings and provide Apple with the ability to cut prices in order to compete in what is sure to be an ultra competitive marketplace. Apple has just finished talks in France, Germany and the UK to decide who will be the lucky service provider that will get the chance to offer the iPhone downloads on the rise to the public.
If the US launch of the download an app for iPhone is anything to go by then the European launch should be a mighty successful one. Watch this space for more news and concrete dates as soon as we get them.

Apple know exactly which buttons to press, when to press them, how long to press them for, and how hard to press them. Recently they’ve been pressing the buttons of many Europeans who are desperate to get their hands on a shiny new good downloads are available for iPhone. The free iPhone downloads is, after a tantalizingly long wait, making its way slowly across to European shores.
Only France, Germany and the UK will benefit in the short term – and indeed the rumor mill says that Apple has already arranged service providers for the European iPhone downloads are free and fun – but for everyone else it’s a good step in the right direction. Ares is one of my favorite pieces of software. It’s so reliable that it really does catch me by surprise when, as is it’s wont occasionally, it simply will not connect. The problem with Ares connecting (or, more properly, Ares not connecting) appeared a few years ago in the Ares Galaxy software and has reappeared two or three times. There has never been a solution – as far as I can tell – that solves the problem of Ares not connecting.
This is all a bit of a shame but strangely not surprising: Ares Galaxy has never been ‘supported’ in any real sense, and problems like this remain the problem of the user. It turns out what’s making Ares not connecting properly is the way it deals with the cnodes that it remembers as the ‘last good’ set of IPs. Often it just forgets them. Ares not connecting is the natural consequence of this.
To solve this problem I simply moved to a new piece of software: Ares Vista and Ares Ultimate are both new enough – and good enough – to tackle the problem head on. Solved without much hassle, and I’ve got a newer, and better, version of Ares to play with! Can’t say fairer than that!
Comments are off for this postAres – Greek God, NASA rocket, or filesharing software?
The name Ares is a popular one. Originally coined as the name of a particularly nasty and violet Greek God who instilled fear in the souls of his enemies (and friends, by all accounts), the Ares moniker has been used throughout history. Recently though it has become the calling sign for two rather different pieces of technology.
The Ares rocket is being designed by NASA to haul a heavy cargo to the moon in 2019. They’ve got some time to go yet before they polish up the design. Let’s hope that this one can stay together.
Arguably the most contemporary use for the name Ares is the P2P filesharing application enjoyed by millions worldwide. Ares make filesharing very easy indeed, and even manages to get around those pesky firewalls and College network restrictions. Due to its unique leaves-and-supernodes P2P architecture it is somewhat more difficult to detect than other filesharing systems. Network administrators are getting better, though!
